Sugar Cookie Glaze from Barbara Van Buskirk

Sugar Cookie Glaze

6 C. sifted powdered sugar
1/2 C. water
2 Tb. light Karo syrup
1 Tsp. almond extract
Food coloring of your choice

You can stir it with a whisk or in a mixer. Outline with regular frosting. Put sprinkles on quickly before glaze hardens.
This makes a lot of frosting. You can cut this recipe in half.

This recipe is from my sister. She said that is a very tasty sugar cookie glaze that hardens. You do need to put a border around the cookie with a thicker frosting if you want it to look really neat. Or, you can pour it over a bunch of cookies while they are sitting on a wire rack over a cookie sheet.
